SMS Notification Consent
What This Is
SCS Multifamily operates an internal operations platform (SCS OS) used by our project managers and field crew to manage daily work entries, project reports, and job site coordination. As part of this system, employees may opt in to receive SMS text notifications related to their work entries.
This is an internal employee notification system only. Messages are sent exclusively to SCS Multifamily team members who have explicitly opted in. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
How Consent Is Collected
SMS consent is collected at two points within the SCS OS platform, both requiring explicit opt-in via an unchecked-by-default checkbox:
1First-Time Onboarding (Welcome Page)
When a new employee is invited to SCS OS and logs in for the first time, they are presented with a Welcome page where they create their password and are given the option to opt in to SMS notifications. The checkbox is unchecked by default — the employee must actively check it to consent. They cannot skip this step or navigate to other parts of the app until onboarding is complete.

2Profile Settings (Ongoing)
At any time after onboarding, employees can visit their My Profile page in SCS OS and toggle SMS notifications on or off under Notification Preferences. If they don’t have a phone number on file, the app warns them to add one before enabling notifications.

Both touchpoints display identical consent language:
Every opt-in and opt-out action is recorded in a system audit log with timestamp, user ID, and user agent for compliance purposes.

Opt-Out
Employees can opt out at any time through any of these methods:
1. Reply STOP to any message received from +1 (844) 648-1983
2. Uncheck the notification preference on their SCS OS profile page
3. Reply HELP for support information
All opt-out actions are immediate and recorded in the system audit trail.
