Our Story

Some companies are built from plans, projections, promises and profitability. SCS Multifamily was built from experience.

Long before there was a company name or a national footprint, there were job sites. Jared Isom and Jordan Farr began their careers installing cabinets, countertops, and flooring on multifamily projects across the country. They worked where execution mattered most, in the field, under real schedules, real pressure, and real consequences.

That foundation changed everything.

More than twenty five years ago, Jared and Jordan traveled from job to job, working long days on site, learning firsthand what worked, what failed, and what consistently went wrong once materials left the factory and met real world conditions.

That experience shaped everything that followed.

As installers, we saw a persistent problem in the industry. Materials looked acceptable on paper but failed under the realities of large scale construction. Quality was inconsistent. Specifications were loose. Processes were fragmented. The burden of those failures always landed in the field, on installers, project managers, and ultimately the customer.

We decided early on that we did not want to be just installers reacting to problems created upstream. We wanted to control the entire process, from sourcing to installation, and raise the standard at every step.

SCS Multifamily was built on that conviction.

We began sourcing our own materials and developing strict quality standards that, at the time, very few in the industry were even considering. We focused on durability, consistency, and performance in real job site conditions, not just appearance in a sample room. Over time, those standards became the foundation of our reputation. 

Today, more than two decades later, that mindset has never changed.

What started as two installers traveling the country has grown into a nationwide operation supported by more than three hundred installation professionals. Our teams work across the country, following disciplined processes designed to ensure consistency, accountability, and success on every project.

But growth was never the goal.

Our success has always been measured by outcomes. Projects that run smoother. Installations that perform as intended. Customers who come back because the experience was better than expected.

We believe the strength of SCS Multifamily rests on three core principles.

First, people. We invest heavily in the people we surround ourselves with, from the field to the office. Experience matters, but ownership, accountability, and pride in work matter more.

Second, products. We continue to push boundaries in sourcing and manufacturing, holding ourselves to standards that exceed industry norms. We do not accept that average quality is good enough, because we know what happens when it reaches the job site.

Third, process. Our systems are built from real world experience. Every refinement we make is driven by lessons learned in the field and a commitment to making each project better than the last.

This is not about short term profitability. It is about long term partnerships.
